Job summary

Hungry Bird IT Consulting Services Pvt Ltd is seeking an experienced CNC Setter to manage CNC turning machine setting, tooling, offsets, and first-piece setup. The role requires ability to read engineering drawings and use measuring instruments to ensure accuracy and surface finish.

The ideal candidate has 2-5 years of CNC turning experience, familiarity with Fanuc controls, and will support production teams to maintain smooth operation and quality standards in Hyderabad.

Qualifications

• Our candidate should have ITI or Diploma in Mechanical or relevant technical qualification.
• 2-5 years of experience in CNC turning machine setting.
• Good knowledge of CNC tools, inserts, offsets, and tool setting.

Responsibilities

• Set CNC turning machines as per engineering drawings and process requirements.
• Select tools, set tool offsets, and perform tool corrections.
• Handle job loading/unloading and first-piece setting.
• Check component dimensions using measuring instruments.
• Ensure dimensional accuracy and surface finish.
• Identify and resolve machine setting and production-related issues.
• Support CNC operators during production and ensure smooth machine operation.
• Monitor tool wear and replace inserts/tools as required.
• Coordinate with Production, Quality, and Programming teams.

Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Set CNC Turning machines as per engineering drawings and process requirements.
• Select tools, set tool offsets, and perform tool corrections.
• Handle job loading/unloading and first-piece setting.
• Check component dimensions using vernier calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring instruments.
• Ensure dimensional accuracy and required surface finish.
• Identify and resolve machine setting and production-related issues.
• Support CNC operators during production and ensure smooth machine operation.
• Monitor tool wear and replace inserts/tools when required.
• Coordinate with Production, Quality, and Programming teams.
• Maintain proper housekeeping and follow safety procedures.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• ITI / Diploma in Mechanical or relevant technical qualification.
• 2-5 years of experience in CNC Turning machine setting.
• Good knowledge of CNC tools, inserts, offsets, and tool setting.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of measuring instruments and dimensional inspection.
• Experience with Fanuc-controlled CNC machines will be preferred.
• Good troubleshooting and production support skills.
