Job summary

Altraize in Tamil Nadu is seeking a skilled CNC Operator to operate and set up CNC turning machines, read engineering drawings, and support production. The role requires meticulous inspection of components for dimensional accuracy and adherence to quality standards, with a focus on safe, efficient workflow in a manufacturing environment.

Ideal candidates will understand tool offsets, insert grades, and cutting parameters, following SOPs to ensure correct positioning and tool wear management

Qualifications

• Operate CNC machines and set them up according to drawings and production needs.
• Inspect finished components for dimensional accuracy and quality compliance.
• Support production, troubleshoot machine issues, ensure smooth workflow.
• Follow safety procedures and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
• Operate CNC turning machines and follow SOPs.
• Set up tools, select inserts, set offsets, ensure correct positioning.
• Understand insert grades, tool selection, cutting parameters, wear, and life management.
• Read engineering drawings, interpret dimensions, tolerances, symbols and machining requirements.

• CNC Operation & Setup: Operate and set up CNC machines as per technical drawings and production requirements.

• Quality Control & Inspection: Inspect finished components to ensure dimensional accuracy and compliance with quality standards.

• Process & Production Support: Support production activities, troubleshoot machine issues, and ensure smooth workflow to meet production targets.

• Safety & Compliance: Follow workplace safety procedures, machine operating guidelines, and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.

• Ability to operate CNC turning machines, understand machine functions, and follow standard operating procedures.

• Competency in setting up tools, selecting suitable inserts, setting tool offsets, and ensuring correct component positioning.

• Understanding insert grades, tool selection, cutting parameters, tool wear, and tool life management.

• Ability to read engineering drawings, understand dimensions, tolerances, symbols, and machining requirements.
