Job summary

Altraize in Chennai is seeking an experienced CNC Operator to operate and set up CNC machines in line with technical drawings and production needs. You will inspect components for dimensional accuracy and ensure compliance with quality standards while supporting production and troubleshooting any machine issues.

Adherence to safety procedures, proper setup of tooling and offsets, and understanding of machining parameters are essential to maintain efficient workflows and high-quality output.

Qualifications

• Operate and set up CNC machines as per technical drawings and production requirements.
• Inspect finished components to ensure dimensional accuracy and compliance with quality standards.
• Support production activities, troubleshoot machine issues, and ensure smooth workflow to meet production targets.
• Follow workplace safety procedures, machine operating guidelines, and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
• Ability to operate CNC turning machines, understand machine functions, and follow standard operating procedures.
• Competency in setting up tools, selecting suitable inserts, setting tool offsets, and ensuring correct component positioning.
• Understanding insert grades, tool selection, cutting parameters, tool wear, and tool life management.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, understand dimensions, tolerances, symbols, and machining requirements.
