Job summary

Altraize in Hyderabad is seeking a CNC operator to operate and set up CNC turning machines as per technical drawings and production requirements. You will read engineering drawings, select tools, set offsets, and ensure components are produced to tolerances with continuous quality checks.

The role emphasizes safety and compliance, with responsibilities to troubleshoot machine issues, support production flow, and maintain equipment according to SOPs.

Qualifications

• Operates CNC machines per drawings and requirements.
• Reads and interprets engineering drawings and tolerances.

• Performs first-article inspection and ongoing quality checks.

• CNC Operation & Setup: Operate and set up CNC machines as per technical drawings and production requirements.
• Quality Control & Inspection: Inspect finished components to ensure dimensional accuracy and compliance with quality standards.
• Process & Production Support: Support production activities, troubleshoot machine issues, and ensure smooth workflow to meet production targets.
• Safety & Compliance: Follow workplace safety procedures, machine operating guidelines, and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
• Ability to operate CNC turning machines, understand machine functions, and follow standard operating procedures.
• Competency in setting up tools, selecting suitable inserts, setting tool offsets, and ensuring correct component positioning.
• Understanding insert grades, tool selection, cutting parameters, tool wear, and tool life management.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, understand dimensions, tolerances, symbols, and machining requirements.
