Job summary

Group Bayport is seeking a Cutting Machine Operator for our Production/Manufacturing department in Gandhinagar, Gujarat. You will operate cutting machines, read drawings, verify dimensions, load materials, and maintain quality standards.

The role requires 1–3 years of relevant experience,ITI or Diploma in a technical field, and the ability to work in shifts in a manufacturing setting. Safety and efficiency are paramount, with routine maintenance and accurate record-keeping expected.

Qualifications

• ITI, Diploma, or equivalent qualification in Mechanical, Production, or a related technical field.
• 1–3 years of experience operating industrial cutting machines in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate cutting machines as per production schedules and work instructions.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, cutting plans, and job orders.
• Load, align, and secure raw materials before starting machine operations.
• Adjust machine settings to achieve accurate dimensions and quality requirements.
• Monitor machine performance and make minor operational adjustments as needed.
• Inspect finished products using measuring instruments to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Perform routine machine cleaning and basic preventive maintenance.
• Identify and report machine faults, equipment issues, or quality concerns to the supervisor.
• Minimise material waste and optimise machine efficiency.
• Maintain accurate production, inspection, and maintenance records.
• Follow all company safety procedures and wear the required PPE.

Job Purpose

To operate, monitor, and maintain cutting machines to produce materials according to production specifications while ensuring quality, productivity, and safety standards are consistently achieved.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate cutting machines as per production schedules and work instructions.
