Job summary

A T E Enterprises is seeking a CNC Laser Cutting Operator to handle sheet metal cutting with precision according to drawings and schedules. You will set parameters, load materials, and ensure parts meet specifications while maintaining records and safety standards.

The role requires vigilance for quality, ability to read drawings and follow cutting programs, and proactive participation in housekeeping and continuous improvement in the production area.

Qualifications

• Experience operating CNC laser cutting equipment with attention to safety and quality.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and cutting programs.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC Laser Cutting Machines efficiently and safely.
• Load and unload metal sheets/materials on the machine.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, work orders, and cutting programs.
• Set machine parameters such as cutting speed, gas pressure, and focus settings as per material specifications.
• Perform machine setup and job changeovers.
• Monitor cutting quality and dimensions during production.
• Conduct first-piece and in-process inspections using measuring instruments.
• Segregate and identify finished, rejected, and rework materials.
• Minimize material wastage and optimize sheet utilization.
• Maintain production records, machine logs, and daily output reports.
• Perform routine machine cleaning and basic preventive maintenance.
• Report machine breakdowns, tool wear, or quality issues to the maintenance team.
• Follow 5S, safety, and quality standards at all times.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives in the production area.
