Job summary

JobItUs in Pune, Maharashtra is seeking a competent CNC Plasma Operator to run and maintain CNC plasma cutting machines for precise metal cutting in line with drawings and standards.

You will load materials, interpret CAD files, and set cutting parameters while monitoring quality and safety. Collaboration with the production team to meet daily targets is essential. Familiarity with MS, SS, and aluminum materials is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with CNC plasma cutting operations.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC plasma cutting machine to cut metal plates per drawings and specs.
• Load and unload raw materials onto the cutting table.
• Interpret CAD drawings and cutting programs.
• Set machine parameters: speed, gas pressure, torch settings.
• Monitor operation, ensure accuracy, minimize waste.
• Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting of the plasma machine.
• Inspect parts with measuring tools to ensure quality.
• Follow safety procedures and keep work area clean.

Job Objective:

To operate and maintain CNC plasma cutting machines for precision cutting of metal sheets and components as per drawings, ensuring quality, efficiency, and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate CNC plasma cutting machine to cut metal plates as per technical drawings and specifications.

• Load and unload raw materials (metal sheets/plates) onto the machine.

• Interpret and understand CAD drawings and cutting programs.

• Set up machine parameters, adjust cutting speed, gas pressure, and torch settings.

• Monitor machine operation and ensure accuracy, minimizing material wastage.

• Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting of the CNC plasma machine.

• Inspect finished parts using measuring tools (calipers, tape, gauges) to ensure quality standards.

• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.

• Coordinate with production team to achieve daily targets.
  

Key Skills & Competencies:
