Candidates should have basic knowledge of CNC Lathe or Vertical Machining Centre (VMC) operations, including machine setting, tool setting, drawing interpretation and machining processes.Required Skills and Knowledge:1. Machine Operation: Ability to independently operate CNC Lathe or VMC machines, including machine start-up, shutdown and basic troubleshooting.2. Machine Setting: Knowledge of job setting, workpiece clamping, fixture setting and tool setting.3. CNC Programming: Basic understanding of CNC programming, G-codes, M-codes and the ability to make minor programme modifications.4. Tool Offsets: Ability to set and adjust tool offsets, work offsets and tool wear compensation.5. Engineering Drawings: Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, dimensions, tolerances and machining requirements.6. Measuring Instruments: Knowledge of vernier calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, dial indicators and other precision measuring instruments.7.
