Job summary

Shoppers Stop is seeking a VM-focused professional to lead store presentation, VM planning, and cross-functional coordination across VM, Accounts, Admin, and Maintenance teams.

The role emphasizes adherence to brand guidelines, effective budget management, and ensuring timely VM displays and reports to support store performance.

Qualifications

• Experience in Visual Merchandising and store presentation.
• Knowledge of VM processes, planograms, and brand guidelines.
• Exposure to budget management and PO/billing workflows.
• Ability to coordinate across Store, VM, Accounts, Admin, and Maintenance teams.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute VM displays per brand guidelines across store sections.
• Prepare VM reports and checklists; monitor End of Season Sale activities.
• Coordinate PO creation, approvals, and bill submission for VM needs.
• Maintain VM assets, budgets, MIS, and expense documentation.
• Collaborate with Admin/Maintenance for store-related VM requirements.

Job description

1. Store & Company Induction

• Conduct and facilitate store team induction and ensure employees understand store processes and responsibilities.
• Understand company policies, HR guidelines, Code of Conduct, POSH, grooming standards, biometric systems, and Darwin platform.
• Develop a thorough understanding of store structure, business operations, and company overview.

2. Visual Merchandising (VM)

• Plan and execute VM displays in accordance with brand guidelines and store requirements.
• Manage window displays, merchandise presentation, department layouts, and VM assets.
• Prepare and maintain VM checklists to ensure consistent store standards.
• Plan and execute End of Season Sale (EOSS) VM activities.
• Prepare weekly VM reports and presentations.
• Ensure effective planogram implementation and department-wise merchandise presentation.
• Monitor VM execution and identify opportunities for improvement.

3. Department & Category Induction

• Conduct department-wise and category-specific induction for store teams.
• Ensure team understanding of category requirements, product presentation, and VM standards.
• Communicate and monitor Key Result Areas (KRAs) related to VM and store presentation.
• Maintain and review category-wise and VM reports.

4. Purchase & Ordering Process

• Manage the online Purchase Order (PO) and ordering process for VM requirements.
• Coordinate with relevant stakeholders for PO creation, approvals, and bill submission.
• Ensure timely submission and processing of invoices and supporting documents.
• Maintain records of Year-to-Date (YTD) and Month-to-Date (MTD) VM expenditure.

5. Accounts & Financial Management

• Coordinate with Accounts for PO, provisions, VM budgets, MIS, expenses, and petty cash.
• Ensure accurate and timely bill submission and documentation.
• Manage and follow the VRF (Vendor/Request/Finance-related) process as applicable.
• Monitor VM expenditure against the approved budget.
• Prepare and maintain expense and budget-related reports.

6. Administration & Maintenance

• Coordinate with the Admin and Maintenance teams for store-related requirements.
• Monitor and maintain VM assets and ensure their proper utilization.
• Ensure store fixtures, VM materials, and related assets are maintained in good condition.
• Follow up on maintenance requirements and ensure timely resolution.

7. Store Business & Commercial Understanding

• Develop a strong understanding of store business performance and commercial objectives.
• Understand category allocation and its impact on store sales and customer experience.
• Analyze and monitor MS (Merchandise/Sales, as applicable) reports.
• Track and support WGC-related store/business activities.
• Align VM activities with store business priorities and commercial requirements.
