Job summary

PeopleStrong seeks a Cluster Manager - Banca (ABSLI) to drive life insurance sales across a cluster of HDFC Bank branches in India. You will lead relationship managers, manage partnerships with HDFC Bank stakeholders, and ensure achievement of business targets while strengthening bancassurance collaboration.

The role requires 5–10 years in Life Insurance/Bancassurance sales, with team leadership experience and a Graduate degree; MBA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Achieve Life Insurance sales targets across the cluster.
• Drive productivity and business generation from mapped HDFC Bank branches.
• Ensure growth in renewal and new business premium.

• Build strong relationships with cluster heads, branch managers, and key stakeholders of HDFC Bank.
• Ensure seamless coordination between ABSLI and HDFC Bank teams.
• Lead and mentor Relationship Managers/Insurance Managers in the cluster.
• Conduct product and sales process training for bank staff.
• Increase insurance awareness and customer engagement through branch activations.
• Ensure all team members are updated on product offerings, compliance requirements, and sales strategies.
• Ensure superior customer experience and prompt resolution of customer queries.
• Support frontline teams during high-value customer meetings and closures.
• Maintain persistency and quality parameters as per company guidelines.
• Ensure adherence to IRDAI regulations and company policies.
• Monitor documentation quality and operational compliance.
• Maintain ethical sales practices and control business risk.

Job Purpose

To drive life insurance business through the assigned cluster of HDFC Bank branches by managing relationship managers, ensuring achievement of business targets, increasing insurance penetration, and strengthening partnerships with key bank stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development

• Achieve assigned Life Insurance sales targets across the cluster.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

• Graduate mandatory.
• MBA/Post Graduate preferred.

Experience

• 5-10 years of experience in Life Insurance/Bancassurance sales.
• Minimum 2-3 years of team handling experience.
• Experience in managing bank partnerships and bancassurance business preferred.
