Job summary

Bitwise Solutions in Pune is seeking a dedicated Production Support Engineer to provide 24/7 monitoring and support for SSIS packages and Azure-based data pipelines. The role requires working in shifts, including weekends, to ensure the stability and smooth functioning of production ETL jobs and data workflows.

Qualifications

• Hands-on SSIS package development, deployment and troubleshooting.
• Strong SQL Server skills and T‑SQL debugging.
• Experience monitoring Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL Database, and Data Lake.
• Proficient in incident management and change control processes.
• Willingness to work 24/7 shifts including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide round-the-clock production support for SSIS packages, SQL Server jobs, and Azure data pipelines.
• Monitor job schedules, data flows, and system health using available monitoring tools and dashboards.
• Perform daily health checks, identify job failures, analyze logs, and take corrective actions to minimize downtime.
• Work in rotational shifts, covering weekends and holidays as per the support roster.
• Escalate unresolved or recurring issues to development and L3 teams with detailed analysis and logs.
• Document incidents, root causes, and resolutions; update knowledge base and runbooks.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams for deployment, environment changes, or planned maintenance activities.
• Ensure SLAs and compliance requirements are met for production incidents and service requests.
• Contribute to automation and continuous improvement of monitoring and alerting processes.

We are seeking a dedicated Production Support Engineer to provide 247 monitoring and support for SSIS packages and Azure-based data pipelines. The role requires working in shifts, including weekends, to ensure the stability and smooth functioning of production ETL jobs and data workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide round-the-clock production support for SSIS packages, SQL Server jobs, and Azure data pipelines.
• Monitor job schedules, data flows, and system health using available monitoring tools and dashboards.
• Perform daily health checks, identify job failures, analyze logs, and take corrective actions to minimize downtime.
• Work in rotational shifts, covering weekends and holidays as per the support roster.
• Escalate unresolved or recurring issues to development and L3 teams with detailed analysis and logs.

Required Skills:

• Hands-on experience in SSIS package development, deployment, and troubleshooting.
• Strong understanding of SQL Server and writing/debugging T-SQL queries.
• Experience monitoring Azure resources like Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL Database, and Data Lake.
• Good understanding of production support best practices, incident management, and change management processes.
• Ability to read job logs, investigate issues, and resolve or elevate as needed.
• Flexibility to work in 247 shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills
