Job summary

Persistent Systems is seeking an experienced Cloud SME Architect with 8–12 years of expertise to lead enterprise cloud initiatives in Hyderabad. You will design and implement cloud architectures on AWS or GCP, drive transformation, and advocate governance and security across projects.

You will mentor teams, develop IaC and CI/CD pipelines, and partner with stakeholders to deliver scalable, reliable cloud solutions in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• 8–12 years of experience in cloud architecture and related domains.
• Hands-on AWS or GCP expertise with enterprise-scale projects.
• Experience in DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and IaC.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement enterprise-scale cloud architectures on AWS or GCP.
• Lead cloud transformation and migration initiatives.
• Define and enforce cloud governance, security, and compliance frameworks.
• Develop secure, scalable cloud solutions for enterprise apps.

We are looking for an experienced Cloud SME Architect with 8 to 12 years of expertise in cloud architecture, DevOps practices, and cloud governance. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with AWS or GCP cloud platforms, cloud policy implementation, infrastructure automation, and enterprise-scale cloud transformation initiatives.

What You\'ll Do:

• Design and implement enterprise-scale cloud architectures on AWS or GCP platforms.
• Lead cloud transformation and migration initiatives aligned with business objectives.
• Define and enforce cloud governance, cloud policy, security, and compliance frameworks.
• Develop secure, scalable, and maintainable cloud solutions for enterprise applications.
• Collaborate with architects, product owners, DevOps engineers, and business stakeholders throughout project delivery.
• Design and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC), automation, and cloud provisioning frameworks.
• Establish and maintain CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices.
• Conduct architecture reviews, cloud assessments, and production readiness evaluations.
• Optimize cloud infrastructure for performance, scalability, security, reliability, and cost efficiency.
• Implement monitoring, observability, logging, and operational excellence practices.
• Troubleshoot complex cloud infrastructure, deployment, networking, and security issues.
• Identify project risks, dependencies, and technical challenges and drive timely resolution.
• Create architecture documentation, standards, governance frameworks, and operational runbooks.
• Mentor technical teams and provide architectural guidance across cloud and DevOps initiatives.
• Drive continuous improvement, automation, and cloud modernization programs across the organization.

Expertise You\'ll Bring:

• 8 to 12 years of experience in Cloud Architecture, Cloud Engineering, DevOps, or Platform Engineering.
• Strong hands-on expertise in AWS or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Extensive experience designing and implementing secure cloud-native architectures.
• Strong knowledge of cloud governance, cloud policy management, and security best practices.
• Experience leading cloud migration, modernization, and transformation programs.
• Hands-on experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment automation.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or equivalent technologies.
• Knowledge of cloud networking, identity and access management, and cloud security controls.
• Experience implementing monitoring, logging, and observability solutions.
• Strong understanding of containerization technologies and orchestration platforms such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience supporting highly available, scalable, and resilient production environments.
• Strong troubleshooting, performance optimization, and root cause analysis capabilities.
• Ability to evaluate complex requirements and design practical cloud solutions.
• Experience working within Agile and cross-functional delivery teams.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, documentation, and leadership skills.
• Proven ability to establish standards, governance models, and cloud best practices.
