Job summary

Persistent is seeking an experienced AWS Networking Engineer based in Pune to design, secure, and manage enterprise cloud networking environments with a focus on CSPM, security, and compliance. The role requires 8–12 years of hands-on AWS networking experience and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

You will optimize VPCs, Transit Gateway, and security controls, drive cloud modernization, and contribute to security-focused deployment practices across the organization.

Qualifications

• 8 to 12 years of experience in Cloud Networking, Cloud Security, Infrastructure Engineering, or Platform Engineering.
• Strong hands-on expertise in AWS cloud infrastructure and networking services.
• Extensive experience in CSPM tools and practices.
• Strong understanding of AWS networking concepts including VPC, VPN, Direct Connect, Transit Gateway, Route 53, and Load Balancers.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support secure AWS networking solutions for enterprise environments.
• Manage and optimize AWS networking services including VPC, Transit Gateway, Route Tables, Security Groups, NACLs, and Load Balancers.
• Implement CSPM controls and security governance frameworks.
• Assess cloud environments for security risks, vulnerabilities, and compliance gaps.
• Collaborate with cloud architects and engineering teams to design secure and scalable cloud solutions.
• Implement network security controls, firewall policies, segmentation strategies, and access management frameworks.
• Monitor cloud infrastructure, network performance, and security events to ensure operational stability.
• Support cloud migration and modernization initiatives with a focus on security and networking best practices.
• Conduct security reviews, risk assessments, and architecture validations.
• Troubleshoot complex cloud networking, connectivity, and security-related issues.
• Develop automation scripts and reusable infrastructure components to improve operational efficiency.
• Participate in production readiness reviews, disaster recovery planning, and business continuity initiatives.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, network diagrams, security standards, and operational runbooks.
• Identify risks and dependencies early and drive timely resolution of issues.
• Collaborate with DevOps, Security Operations, Compliance, and Infrastructure teams throughout project delivery.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and cloud security best practices.

Expertise You'll Bring:

• 8 to 12 years of experience in Cloud Networking, Cloud Security, Infrastructure Engineering, or Platform Engineering.


• Strong hands-on expertise in AWS cloud infrastructure and networking services.


• Extensive experience in Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) tools and practices.


• Strong understanding of AWS networking concepts including VPC, VPN, Direct Connect, Transit Gateway, Route 53, and Load Balancers.


• Experience implementing cloud security controls, governance frameworks, and compliance standards.


• Expertise in network security technologies including Firewalls, IDS/IPS, WAF, and Zero Trust principles.


• Experience securing cloud-native applications and enterprise workloads hosted on AWS.


• Knowledge of IAM, identity federation, access control policies, and secrets management.


• Experience with security monitoring, threat detection, vulnerability assessment, and risk remediation.


• Understanding of cloud networking architecture, hybrid cloud connectivity, and multi-cloud environments.


• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation.


• Experience supporting cloud migration and digital transformation initiatives.


• Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis capabilities.


• Experience working with Agile delivery methodologies and cross-functional teams.


• Excellent communication, documentation, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills.


• Ability to balance security, performance, scalability, and business requirements in solution design.
