They act as the primary bridge between project managers, subcontractors, and laborers to keep the project on schedule and budget.
Daily Site Management: Coordinate day-to-day operations and assign tasks to
labourers and subcontractors. Ensure adequate workforce levels and maintain project timelines.
Quality Control s Inspections: Regularly inspect construction work and verify that all activitiesfrom concrete pouring to structural steel framing—meet engineering
specifications.
Drawing Interpretation: Read and interpret structural and architectural drawings to ensure work does not deviate from approved plans.
Safety Compliance: Enforce health and safety regulations. Conduct hazard assessments, ensure proper use of PPE, and implement safety briefings.
Material s Resource Management: Oversee the delivery, storage, and inventory of construction materials to prevent shortages or equipment downtime.
Progress Reporting: Complete site reports and document daily progress, labor attendance, and any on-site incidents for the project manager.
Problem Resolution: Identify on-site challenges (e.g., design discrepancies, material delays, or logistical issues) and collaborate with stakeholders to resolve them.
