Job summary

Onshore Construction Company is urgently seeking a highly experienced Civil Engineer for Paradeep, Odisha, to lead civil works on EPC projects in the oil & gas, petrochemical, and heavy engineering sectors.

The role requires 7+ years of relevant experience, a civil engineering qualification, and strong skills in AutoCAD, project coordination, QA/QC, and safety compliance. You will supervise foundations, RCC, structural works, and site reporting while ensuring schedule and budget adherence.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech or Diploma in Civil Engineering required.
• 7+ years of experience in industrial construction, EPC, oil & gas, petrochemical, refinery, or heavy engineering projects.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and construction specifications.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and project documentation.
• Strong knowledge of QA/QC procedures and safety standards.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and execute civil construction activities including foundations, RCC works, structural works, paving, drainage, underground utilities, and finishing works.
• Ensure execution of work as per approved drawings, project specifications, and construction schedules.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal project teams for smooth project execution.
• Monitor site progress and ensure adherence to project timelines and budgets.
• Review construction drawings, BOQs, and technical specifications before execution.
• Conduct quantity verification, material reconciliation, and prepare daily/weekly progress reports.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards, inspection procedures, and project documentation.
• Identify site challenges and implement effective engineering solutions.
• Ensure strict adherence to HSE policies and safe work practices at the construction site.
• Participate in client meetings, inspections, and project review discussions.

About the Role

Preferred Skills

• Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced project environment and meet project deadlines.
• Familiarity with project planning and reporting tools will be an added advantage.
