Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or Diploma in Civil Engineering with relevant field experience.
• Experience in refinery/petrochemical construction is desirable.
• Knowledge of general plant and equipment layout and civil drawings symbols is essential.

Responsibilities

• Study the plot plan and lay out drawings and execution of the same in field.
• Coordinate with surveyor to establish plot boundary, initial RL of the plot and quantum of cutting/filling work.
• Sending of soil sample to laboratory for OMC and MDD testing and conduct regular field compaction test.
• Check the compaction utilization of resources; inform superiors in case of improper mobilization of P&M/resources by contractors.
• Verify contractors DPR and update report to Project control team.
• Ensure day to day execution; study of project standards, specifications, drawings.
• Check rebar bending in yard and certify BBS; check formwork per drg, clear cover and lap length.
• Check scaffolding, handrails, ladder fixing for work at height; RA sheets signed off.
• Check concreting compaction and cube sampling; surface rendering and fireproofing surfaces.
• Check embedded items in position and alignment; check backfilling and curing.

Job description

• Check proper compaction of concreting, field quality testing of concreting and cube sampling.
• Check surface rendering and finishing for concrete and fire proof surface.
• Check all embedded items (Anchor Bolts, Insert Plates) are in position and aligned / welded prior to concrete pouring.
• Check proper compaction of backfilling, curing.
