Job summary

Exalt Design Engineers in Bengaluru is seeking a talented structural engineer to model, analyze and design RCC and steel structures for industrial sheds, PEB buildings and mezzanines. You will assess loads, design foundations, and work with HVAC and BIM teams, using STAAD.Pro/ETABS, AutoCAD and Revit Structure to deliver safe, compliant structures across varied manufacturing facilities.

Qualifications

• Hands-on proficiency in STAAD.Pro and/or ETABS; SAFE, RCDC or Tekla is a plus.
• Strong AutoCAD drafting skills; working knowledge of Revit Structure / BIM coordination.
• Experience in design of industrial buildings, PEB / steel structures and equipment foundations.
• Ability to prepare BBS, BOQs and quantity estimates; MS Excel design spreadsheets.
• Understanding of construction methods, materials and site practices.

Responsibilities

• Model, analyse and design RCC and structural-steel structures - industrial sheds, PEB buildings, multi-storey frames, mezzanines, pipe racks, AHU/platforms, catwalks and access structures.
• Design isolated, combined, raft and pile foundations, and equipment foundations including vibration checks for rotating equipment.
• Evaluate dead, live, wind, seismic and equipment loads; check existing roofs and steelwork for new HVAC and process equipment.
• Hands-on drafting and BIM coordination with multi-disciplinary teams.
• Prepare BBS and BOQs with quantity estimates and Excel-based design spreadsheets.

• Structural analysis & design: Model, analyse and design RCC and structural-steel structures - industrial sheds, PEB buildings, multi-storey frames, mezzanines, pipe and duct racks, AHU / chiller platforms, catwalks and access structures.
• Foundations: Design isolated, combined, raft and pile foundations, and equipment / machine foundations including vibration checks for rotating equipment.
• Load assessment: Evaluate dead, live, wind, seismic and equipment loads; check existing roofs, slabs and steelwork for new HVAC, utility and process equipment.
• Hands‑on proficiency in STAAD.Pro and/or ETABS; SAFE, RCDC or Tekla is a plus.
• Strong AutoCAD drafting skills; working knowledge of Revit Structure / BIM coordination.
• Experience in design of industrial buildings, PEB / steel structures and equipment foundations.
• Ability to prepare BBS, BOQs and quantity estimates; MS Excel design spreadsheets.
• Understanding of construction methods, materials and site practices.

Preferred candidate profile

• Experience on pharmaceutical, cleanroom, automotive or other manufacturing facilities.
• Exposure to retrofit and strengthening of existing structures.
• Experience with design of structures supporting HVAC equipment, ducting and utilities.
• Chartered Engineer / registered structural engineer status, or progress towards it.
