Job summary

You will plan budgets, coordinate vendors, and ensure zero downtime for critical equipment.

Job description

Purpose of the Role

1. Launching SM NSO (New Store Opening) on time and within the budget.
2. Planning maintenance of Supermarket stores in all aspects within given budget & norms in the Circle and also should analyze & explore scope for cost saving, manage the store modifications, along with Maintaining & managing assets / equipments in the Stores in an orderly fashion.
3. Responsible for zero downtime of equipment.

Principal Responsibilities

1. To ensure landlord scope of work to be completed on time as per MRPL standards.
2. To ensure MRPL scope of work completion as per MRPL Standards.
3. To ensure that the quality of HOTO (hand over & take over) is done as per the HOTO sheet.
4. Inspects operating machines and equipment for conformance with operational standards.
5. Ensures that there is fire safety and emergency preparedness, Electrical Safety, General Safety.

Key Result Areas

1. Prepare and analyze cost estimates for new stores and oversee execution of the same.
2. Implement and monitor Best Practices in terms of Projects.
3. To ensure the completion of capitalization within 45 days of the NSO launch.
4. Both LL & MRPL HOTO index should be 100%
5. Develops and tracks preventive maintenance activities in conjunction with maintenance staff.
6. Ensure annual maintenance contracts to prolong Equipment life.
7. Plans, develops, and implements new methods and procedures designed to minimize utility costs, and effect greater utilization of available resources.
8. Prepares department budget and monitors expenditure of funds in budget
9. Managing Vendors / Technicians for smooth functioning of Store equipment.
10. Adherence to financial process and ensuring quarterly reconciliation with vendors
11. Ensure R&M portal-daily update with the required details
12. Ensure R&M expenses within the budget
13. Ensure store utility cost is within the budget.
14. To ensure the implementation of safety agenda as per the plan
15. To ensure asset management and immediate disposal of scrap if any.
16. Achieve usage of close store material for new stores/ex stores.

Education and Experience

• BE Electrical with min 5 - 7 years experience or Diploma Electrical with 7 years experience.
• Prior experience in handling project and Maintenance for a State / Region.
• Prior Experience in Retail, QSR or any multi-unit business.
• Experience in team management.
