Qualifications

• Experience in travel technology domain preferred.
• Expertise in cloud platforms and API integrations.

Job Title: Chief Technical Officer (CTO)

Location: Mumbai

Role Overview:

The Chief Technical Officer (CTO) will lead the organizations technology vision, with a strong focus on AI-driven transformation, digital innovation, and scalable IT infrastructure. This role is critical in leveraging Artificial Intelligence, automation, and data analytics to enhance customer experience, optimize travel operations, and drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Technology Strategy & AI Leadership

• Define and execute the company’s technology and AI roadmap aligned with business objectives.
• Drive adoption of AI/ML solutions across business functions (sales, operations, customer service).
• Identify opportunities to leverage Generative AI, predictive analytics, and automation in travel processes.
• Act as a strategic advisor on emerging technologies including AI, NDC, and travel tech innovations.

AI & Innovation (Mandatory Focus)

• Design and implement AI-powered solutions such as:
  • Chatbots and virtual travel assistants
  • Dynamic pricing and demand forecasting models
  • Personalized travel recommendations
  • Automated ticketing, invoicing, and query resolution
• Lead integration of AI tools with CRM, booking engines, and internal systems.
• Ensure ethical AI usage, data privacy, and governance.

Product & Platform Management

• Oversee development of online booking tools (OBT), mobile apps, and customer platforms.
• Integrate GDS systems (Amadeus, Sabre, Galileo) and third-party APIs.
• Ensure seamless, intelligent, and AI-enhanced user experience.

IT Infrastructure & Security

• Manage cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP) ensuring scalability and performance.
• Implement strong data governance frameworks to support AI models.
• Ensure cyber security, compliance, and disaster recovery systems.

Team Leadership

• Build and lead a future-ready tech team with AI capabilities.
• Up skill teams on AI/ML tools and emerging technologies.
• Collaborate with business teams to embed AI in decision-making.

Data & Analytics

• Drive data-driven culture through BI tools and AI insights.
• Oversee data pipelines, data lakes, and real-time analytics frameworks.
• Ensure high-quality data for training and optimizing AI models.

Key Requirements (AI Mandatory):

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Data Science, or related field (MBA preferred).
• 12–18+ years of experience, with at least 5+ years in leadership roles.
• Mandatory experience in AI/ML implementation in a business environment.
• Strong understanding of:
  • Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Generative AI
  • AI frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, OpenAI, etc.)
  • Data engineering and analytics
• Experience in travel technology / TMC / OTA domain preferred.
• Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and API integrations.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with NDC integrations and travel APIs.
• Knowledge of FinTech/payment systems in travel.
• Exposure to AI governance, LLMs, and automation platforms.
• Familiarity with ERP, CRM, and HRMS integrations.
