Responsibilities
- Own ACI Infotech's technology strategy: the platforms, architectures, and engineering standards that underpin delivery across all practice areas—cloud, AI, data, automation, and security.
- Lead internal technology infrastructure and engineering operations— including delivery tooling, developer platforms, internal automation, and the systems that power ACI's own business at scale.
- Partner with the CAIO, practice leads, and the CEO to ensure that ACI's technology capabilities match its commercial ambitions—identifying gaps, prioritising investments, and making build‑vs‑buy‑vs‑partner decisions with rigour.
- Set and enforce engineering excellence standards across delivery: architecture review processes, code quality gates, DevSecOps practices, cloud cost governance, and security posture—so that what ACI ships to clients holds up under scrutiny.
- Drive ACI Infotech's technology partnership strategy: deepening technical relationships with hyperscalers (AWS, Azure, GCP), platform partners (Salesforce, Databricks, SAP), and emerging ecosystem players aligned to the company's roadmap.
- Serve as a senior technical voice in enterprise client engagements: architecture validation, CTO‑to‑CTO conversations, and technical due diligence for strategic deals.
- Build and lead the senior engineering and architecture function—hiring, developing, and retaining principals, architects, and engineering leads who set the quality ceiling for the company.
Requirements
- 18+ years in technology— with at least 6 years in a CTO, VP Engineering, or equivalent role at a global technology services firm, enterprise software company, or complex multi‑practice consultancy.
- Broad technical fluency: cloud infrastructure, enterprise applications, data and AI platforms, cybersecurity architecture, and modern software delivery— you don't need to be the deepest expert in all of them, but you need enough depth to lead the people who are.
- Strong engineering leadership track record: you've built and scaled engineering organisations of 200+ people across geographies, and you have a model for what high‑performing technical teams look like.
- Experience managing technology partnerships with major cloud and platform vendors— including commercial negotiation, joint GTM, and technical alignment at a principal/architect level.
- Delivery credibility: you've overseen the execution of complex, multi‑workstream engagements for large enterprises— you know what production‑grade looks like and where delivery risk actually hides.
- Board‑level and executive communication: you can translate technology strategy into business impact language, and you can defend a technology investment thesis in a room full of sceptics.
Nice to Have
- + Experience at the intersection of AI and enterprise platforms—particularly cloud‑native AI, LLM integration, or agentic systems at production scale.
- + Background in regulated industries (financial services, healthcare, insurance) where technology architecture must satisfy audit and compliance requirements.
- + Track record building proprietary IP, platforms, or accelerators inside a services business—creating technical differentiation that wins and retains enterprise clients.
- + Prior work establishing or scaling global delivery centres, including engineering capability building in India across Hyderabad, Bangalore, or Mumbai.
