Job summary

The Corporate Institute in Mumbai seeks a CA with 3–5 years of experience to join the Financial Reporting team. The role supports multi-GAAP reporting (IGAAP, Ind AS, IFRS) and IFRS transition, Ind AS proforma reporting, and system/process changes for implementation.

You will work on consolidation, proforma Ind AS financials, and liaise with auditors, IT, and finance for ERP changes and readiness.

Qualifications

• CA qualified with mandatory membership and 3–5 years of post-qualification experience.
• Experience in financial reporting under multiple GAAP frameworks (IGAAP/Ind AS/IFRS).
• Exposure to ERP implementations or changes and close coordination with IT/finance teams.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial statements under IGAAP and Ind AS.
• Support IFRS transition and proforma Ind AS reporting as per requirements.
• Assist with chart of accounts mapping and ERP readiness activities.
• Coordinate with auditors and internal teams for data requests and disclosures.
• Contribute to monthly/quarterly close cycles and reconciliations.

Job Overview

This role will be part of the Financial Reporting team supporting multi-GAAP reporting requirements including IGAAP, Ind AS, and IFRS. The candidate will play a key role in IFRS transition, Ind AS proforma reporting, and supporting changes to accounting systems and processes required for implementation.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Reporting & Regulatory Compliance:

• Preparation and review of financial statements under IGAAP and Ind AS
• Quarterly preparation of proforma Ind AS financials as per IRDAI requirements
• Support parallel reporting across multiple accounting frameworks
• Ensure adherence to IRDAI and Group reporting requirements

2. IFRS / Ind AS Transition & Implementation:

• Assist in IFRS implementation and transition activities
• Prepare GAAP difference analysis (IGAAP vs Ind AS vs IFRS)
• Support preparation of technical accounting memos / position papers
• Work with consultants and auditors on transition-related matters

3. Accounting Systems & Process Changes:

• Support changes in accounting systems (GL / sub-ledgers) required for IFRS / Ind AS
• Assist in chart of accounts restructuring and mapping
• Work closely with IT and finance teams to ensure system readiness
• Participate in UAT testing and validation of system changes

4. Closure, Controls & Reconciliations:

• Support monthly / quarterly financial close processes
• Prepare and review reconciliations and schedules
• Ensure adherence to internal controls over financial reporting (IFC)

5. Stakeholder Coordination:

• Coordinate with auditors, internal teams, and Group Finance
• Support audit queries and data requirements
• Work with cross-functional teams for data and reporting alignment

Job Requirements

Qualifications: CA (Mandatory)

Experience: 3 – 5 years

Required Skill set:

• Working knowledge of Ind AS / IFRS concepts
• Experience in financial reporting / audit / accounting
• Exposure to system implementation / ERP changes (preferred)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good understanding of financial statements and disclosures
• Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems (SAP / Oracle / similar)
