Job summary

Capgemini is seeking an experienced Chassis Systems CoE Lead to drive end-to-end chassis engineering programs in India. You will provide technical leadership, manage multidisciplinary teams, and oversee development from concept to production, ensuring compliance and quality across ride and handling targets.

The role requires 15+ years in automotive chassis engineering with leadership responsibilities, DFMEA/DVP&R knowledge, and strong stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead chassis system development covering Suspension, Steering, Braking, Wheels & Tyres, Fuel Systems, and Vehicle Dynamics.
• Define system architecture, technical roadmaps, engineering standards, and validation strategies.
• Manage multidisciplinary engineering teams, budgets, suppliers, and customer engagements.
• Drive RFQ/RFI responses, solution development, effort estimation, and proposal preparation.
• Ensure achievement of vehicle performance targets related to ride, handling, durability, safety, NVH, quality, cost, and compliance.
• Support innovation, value engineering, localization, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Chassis Systems CoE Lead to drive the development, integration, validation, and delivery of advanced vehicle chassis systems. The role involves technical leadership, team management, business development, and end-to-end ownership of chassis engineering programs.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead chassis system development covering Suspension, Steering, Braking, Wheels & Tyres, Fuel Systems, and Vehicle Dynamics.
• Define system architecture, technical roadmaps, engineering standards, and validation strategies.
• Manage multidisciplinary engineering teams, budgets, suppliers, and customer engagements.
• Drive RFQ/RFI responses, solution development, effort estimation, and proposal preparation.
• Ensure achievement of vehicle performance targets related to ride, handling, durability, safety, NVH, quality, cost, and compliance.
• Support innovation, value engineering, localization, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills

• Strong expertise in at least two areas: Suspension, Steering, Brakes, Vehicle Dynamics, Fuel Systems, CAE, Testing, or Vehicle Integration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/Master's degree in Mechanical, Automotive, Mechatronics, or related Engineering.
• 15+ years of automotive chassis engineering experience with leadership responsibilities.

Preferred: Experience in CoE leadership, global program delivery, pre-sales support, and automotive product development lifecycle.
