Job summary

MAN TRUCK & BUS INDIA PRIVATE LIMITED in Pune seeks a Senior Chassis Integration Lead to guide the global chassis integration for ICE and BEV programs. You will balance people management with hands-on engineering, driving design, integration and system validation.

The role requires an advanced mechanical degree (MS/MTech) and strong CATIA/CAD experience, cross-functional collaboration across engineering, manufacturing and suppliers, and a track record in delivering complex vehicle projects.

Qualifications

• Must have: Commercial Vehicle OE experience.
• Experience leading global vehicle development projects.
• Experience balancing people management with hands-on design and integration.

Responsibilities

• Act as a senior integration engineer and technical authority for chassis integration activities within global vehicle development projects.
• Lead the design and development of chassis integration solutions for ICE and BEV platforms.
• Define and validate functional requirements, packaging constraints, operating environments, and interfaces.
• Develop and review engineering concepts, layouts, and system integration.
• Drive resolution of complex engineering issues through analytical problem-solving and technical decision-making.
• Coordinate with global cross-functional teams during product development for technical topics.
• Lead and develop a team of engineers and manage competency development.
• Identify present and future competency requirements based on project demands.
• Review project risks, set priorities, and optimize resource utilization across programs.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to engineering efficiency, product performance, cost, and quality.
• Define and ensure adherence to organizational quality processes and engineering standards.

Responsible for leading the Chassis Integration team whilesimultaneously serving as a senior technical contributor for global vehicledevelopment programs in chassis integration.

The role requires balancing people management, competencydevelopment, resource planning, and project leadership with hands‑onresponsibility for the design, integration, and development of commercialvehicle chassis systems and components for ICE and BEV platforms.

To ensure that you will-

• Act as a senior integration engineer as individual contributor and technical authority for chassis integration activities within global vehicle development projects.
• Lead the design and development of chassis integration solutions for commercial vehicle platforms, including both ICE and BEV applications.
• Define and validate functional requirements, packaging constraints, operating environments, and interface requirements while considering DFM, DFA, and DFS principles.
• Develop and review engineering concepts, layouts, component installations, and system integration solutions.
• Drive resolution of complex engineering issues through analytical problem-solving and technical decision‑making.
• Contribute directly to engineering deliverables, design reviews, concept evaluations, and product releases.
• Coordinate with global cross‑functional teams including engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, validation, and suppliers during product development for individual technical topics.
• Lead and develop a team of engineers by managing team requirements, project assignments, workload balancing, and competency development.
• Identify present and future competency requirements based on project demands and organizational strategy.
• Review project risks, set priorities, and optimize resource utilization across multiple programs
• Drivecontinuous improvement initiatives related to engineering efficiency,product performance, cost, and quality.
• Defineand ensure adherence to organizational quality processes and engineeringstandards.
