Job summary

MAN Truck & Bus India Pvt. Ltd. in Pune seeks an experienced professional to lead software quality assurance and ASPICE assessments for automotive projects.

You will evaluate supplier processes, plan assessments, and report findings to ensure PAM, cybersecurity, and functional safety compliance. The role requires 5–8 years in automotive software or systems engineering, a degree in engineering or CS, and hands-on experience with DOORS, Polarion, Codebeamer, Jira or similar ALM tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics, or related field.
• 5-8 years of industry experience in automotive software, systems engineering, quality assurance, or process improvement.
• Experience with automotive OEMs, Tier-1 suppliers, or semiconductor organizations.
• Proven experience conducting ASPICE assessments for suppliers or internal projects.
• Intacs certified Competent Assessor and holding active certificate.
• Strong knowledge of ASPICE PAM and capability determination process.
• Past Software Assessment Experience with Automotive SPICE and Cybersecurity or comparable models.
• Strong knowledge of Cybersecurity ISO21434 and Functional Safety ISO26262.
• Knowledge of Complex Embedded systems development and related quality management methods.
• Familiarity with requirements management, configuration management, and defect tracking tools such as DOORS, Polarion, Codebeamer, Jira, ALM, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead ASPICE assessments for suppliers and internal projects.
• Evaluate supplier engineering processes and determine ASPICE compliance.
• Plan assessment activities including planning, evidence collection, interviews, reviews, and reporting.
• Analyze findings, identify gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities.
• Prepare detailed assessment reports and present findings to management.
• Track closure of assessment findings and improvement actions.
• Collaborate with supplier quality, engineering, project management, and functional safety teams.
• Support organizational process improvement initiatives based on assessment results.
• Participate in assessor calibration activities and maintain competency.
• Support project team members for internal software quality assurance activities.
• Manage all Software Quality aspects of ongoing vehicle development projects.

As part of your role, you will be responsible for Lead development, validation and enhancement of hardware in loop testing activities for commercial vehicles (for brake, steering & Air functions for Existing and future global demand).

To ensure that you will-

• Plan and conduct ASPICE assessments for suppliers in accordance with the latest Automotive SPICE Process Assessment Model (PAM)
• Evaluate supplier engineering processes and determine compliance against ASPICE requirements and capability levels.
• Lead assessment activities including assessment planning, evidence collection, interviews, process reviews, and reporting.
• Analyze assessment findings, identify process gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities.
• Prepare detailed assessment reports and present findings to supplier management and internal stakeholders.
• Track and support closure of assessment findings and improvement actions.
• Ensure consistency and objectivity in ratings and assessment outcomes.
• Collaborate with supplier quality, engineering, project management, and functional safety teams.
• Support organizational process improvement initiatives based on assessment results.
• Participate in assessment calibration activities and maintain assessor competency.
• Support the project team members for internal software quality assurance activities.
• Manage all Software Quality related aspects of ongoing vehicle development project.
• Plan and conduct quality activities for the MAN internal software development.
• Track the Project Quality metrics, derive actions and support the development teams.
• Identify process improvements in management of defects in the currently running projects.
