Job summary

MTBI in Pune is seeking a Configuration Manager to ensure correct product configurations are released on time. The role focuses on change control, versioning, and traceability across engineering and product teams.

You will coordinate with project management, system engineering, and the value-flow organization to maintain configuration integrity and support releases. This permanent, hybrid-position offers a collaborative environment and cross-functional exposure.

Qualifications

• 8–12 years of experience in configuration, release governance or related roles.
• Strong understanding of software development and embedded systems.
• Knowledge of hardware–software integration.
• Familiarity with automotive safety and cybersecurity standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Configuration plan in accordance with the Release Plan.
• Own Change control.
• Facilitate Change Control Board.
• Manage versioning and change tracking for product artifacts.
• Maintain configuration integrity, traceability, and reproducibility.
• Support product releases and validate configuration integrity before deployment.
• Track changes to configuration items and assess their impact and release readiness.
• Consolidate release information, team statements, supporting documents, and open-point follow-ups.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to deliver development and production software or calibration packages.

Your Tasks –

The Configuration Manager ensures that the correct product configuration is released at the required

quality and time. The role supports product maintainability, traceability, reproducibility, and continuous

customer value while coordinating closely with project management, system engineering, and the

value-flow organization.

To ensure that you will-

• Develop and maintain Configuration plan in accordance with the Release Plan.
• Own Change control.
• Facilitate Change Control Board
• Manage versioning and change tracking for product artifacts.
• Maintain configuration integrity, traceability, and reproducibility.
• Support product releases and validate configuration integrity before deployment.
• Track changes to configuration items and assess their impact and release readiness.
• Consolidate release information, team statements, supporting documents, and open-point follow-ups.
• Support to deliver development and production software or calibration packages to stakeholders.
• Communicate the status of releases, configuration items, dependencies, and process compliance & Coordinate with internal stakeholders.

Your qualification/ minimum requirements -

• Experience: 8 to 12 years
• Qualification: B.Tech/M.Tech in embedded systems, mechatronics, data science, physics, or a comparable
• discipline.
• Broad understanding of software development and embedded systems.
• Understanding of hardware-software integration.
• Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills.
• Ability to coordinate complex, cross-functional activities and dependencies.
• Confidence in facilitating decisions and maintaining transparency across teams.
• Familiarity with automotive functional safety and cybersecurity standards.
• Experience with release governance, change control, product baselines, and configuration item management
