Job summary

MAN TRUCK & BUS INDIA PVT. LTD in Pune, hybrid role focusing on database engineering, migration, and performance tuning. Manage complex Oracle PL/SQL development and ensure data integrity across systems.

You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, work with SAP, Power BI, and cloud services, and contribute to deployment and documentation while upholding coding standards.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in Oracle PL/SQL development, including designing, developing, testing, and maintaining packages, procedures, functions, triggers, views, and complex SQL queries.
• Hands-on experience in database design, data modeling, and development of reusable database components following coding standards and best practices.
• Proven expertise in database migration projects, including schema, data, and object migration, migration scripting, validation, reconciliation, and post-migration support.
• Ability to perform query optimization and performance tuning through execution plan analysis, indexing, partitioning, and resolution of database bottlenecks.
• Experience in improving ETL and batch processing performance and ensuring data consistency, accuracy, and reliability.
• Strong capability in production support, incident management, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis for database-related issues.
• Experience working with SAP, Power BI, and other enterprise applications for data integration and reporting requirements.
• Knowledge of release management, deployment activities, and change management processes in enterprise environments.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with business stakeholders, application teams, and cross-functional teams to deliver business-critical solutions
• Ability to prepare and maintain technical documentation, including design documents, migration strategies, rollback plans, SOPs, coding standards, and knowledge transfer materials
• Strong experience in Oracle 19c (or higher), SQL, and PL/SQL development.
• Good knowledge of database design, data modeling, and normalization.
• Experience with AWS RDS Oracle and/or Azure Database Services.
• Understanding of data warehousing, ETL/ELT, and data migration concepts.
• Hands-on experience in SQL tuning, query optimization, and database troubleshooting.
• Exposure to Power BI, Tableau, or AWS reporting solutions.
• Knowledge of AWS services such as Glue, Athena, and S3.
• Experience with DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of data security, masking, and data transformation.
• Ability to work with large-volume datasets and strong analytical/problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage database development, migration, performance, production support, data integration, releases, troubleshooting, and technical documentation while working with cross-functional teams.
• Design, develop, test, and maintain Oracle PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, triggers, and views.
• Plan and execute database migrations, data validation, and post-migration validation activities.
• Optimize queries and performance using execution plans, indexing, and partitioning to resolve bottlenecks.
• Improve ETL/batch processing performance and ensure data accuracy and reliability across systems.
• Provide production support, incident management, and root-cause analysis for database issues.
• Collaborate with SAP, Power BI, and other enterprise apps for data integration and reporting.
• Assist in release management, deployment activities, and change control.
• Document designs, migration strategies, rollback plans, SOPs, and coding standards for knowledge transfer.
