Job summary

Hira Walraven Installations Systems is seeking a CFD Engineer (3-5 years) to lead CFD modelling for HVAC projects including car parks and atriums. You will develop CFD models using FDS, PyroSim and Pathfinder, perform smoke analyses, and support ventilation design with technical reports.

The role requires proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit and Navisworks, with knowledge of NFPA, ASHRAE and GCC standards. Collaboration across disciplines and timely delivery are essential.

Qualifications

• Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit and Navisworks for BIM coordination.
• Strong CFD modelling experience using FDS/PyroSim and Pathfinder.

Role & responsibilities

Role: CFD Engineer (3-5 years)

Job Description:

1. Handle AutoCAD drawings related to HVAC systems, including car parks, atriums etc.
2. Develop CFD models for car parks, atriums and similar applications using FDS/PyroSim.
3. Perform smoke analysis and provide engineering support for ventilation system design.
4. Perform CFD simulations for thermal comfort analysis of buildings and other facilities.
5. Have good working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
6. Prepare technical reports, engineering calculations, and design recommendations based on CFD analysis.
7. Have a good understanding of local and international codes, standards, project specifications, and industry best practices.
8. Prepare and update AutoCAD drawings by positioning and marking finalized jet fans, supply air fans, and exhaust air fans based on CFD analysis and design requirements.

Technical Skills:

1. Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks etc.
2. Proficiency in CFD software such as FDS, PyroSim, Pathfinder, and ANSYS Fluent.
3. Strong knowledge of Fire Dynamics Simulator (FDS) for smoke and fire modelling.
4. Experience in interpreting CFD simulation results and preparing technical reports for clients.
5. Good understanding of international standards such as NFPA, BSI, ASHRAE, and local fire codes applicable in the UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, and other GCC countries.
6. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver high-quality technical solutions within the allocated timelines.
