Job summary

Talent Hired-the Job Store is seeking a CFD Simulation Engineer on contract to lead engine and powertrain CFD analyses. The role focuses on in-cylinder combustion, port flow, coolant jacket and CHT, plus external aerodynamics to optimize overall vehicle performance.

Ideal candidates will have extensive experience with Ansys Fluent and system-level tools such as GT Suite, Recardo and AVL Suite, and a background in the two-wheeler sector is a plus.

Qualifications

• Thermal simulations including engine thermal dynamics and vehicle heat transfer.
• Proficiency with Ansys Fluent for CFD analyses.
• Experience with GT Suite, Recardo or AVL Suite for system-level simulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed CFD analyses of engine sub-systems and powertrain components.
• Run engine-related CFD simulations: in-cylinder, port flow, coolant jacket, CHT.
• Execute external aerodynamic simulations to improve vehicle performance.
• Create high-quality meshes and provide insights for design improvements.
• Collaborate with design, testing and manufacturing teams to apply results.

Purpose of the Role

Seeking a highly skilled and motivated CFD Simulation Engineer to join our dynamic team in the automotive industry on contract basis. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in engine and powertrain-related simulations, with a strong focus on Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD). This role involves working on cutting-edge projects that require expertise in engine systems, powertrain components, and aerodynamic simulations.

Role & responsibilities

• Perform detailed analysis and simulation of engine workings and sub-systems.
• Conduct powertrain component and system-level simulations to support design and development.
• Execute engine-related CFD simulations, including in-cylinder combustion, port flow, coolant jacket, and Conjugate Heat Transfer (CHT) analysis.
• Perform external aerodynamic flow simulations to optimize vehicle performance.
• Create high-quality CFD meshes for various simulations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Utilize tools like Ansys Fluent to perform advanced analysis and provide insights for design improvements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, testing, and manufacturing, to implement simulation results into actionable engineering solutions.
