Job summary

HCLTech seeks a CFD Engineer with 3–6 years of experience in aerospace and thermal applications to join our team in Bengaluru. You will apply advanced CFD techniques, build high-quality meshes, and run simulations with Star-CCM+ and ANSYS Fluent to analyze aerodynamics and heat transfer.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Aerodynamics / Fluid Mechanics / Mechanical / Thermal Engineering.
  • Strong understanding of aircraft aerodynamics, fluid dynamics, and compressible flows.
  • Good knowledge of heat transfer (preferred).
  • Hands-on experience in CFD simulations (meshing, setup, solving, post-processing).
  • Star-CCM+ experience (mandatory).
  • ANSYS Fluent experience (added advantage).
  • Electronics cooling experience (added advantage).
  • Working knowledge of CATIA (preferred).
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and Word.
  • Coding skills in VBA/Python (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Conduct CFD simulations for aerospace/thermal applications.
  • Develop meshes, configure solver setups, run simulations and post-process results.
  • Interpret aerodynamic and heat transfer outcomes and present findings.
  • Collaborate with design teams for optimization and improvements.
