JOB DESCRIPTION CEO / COO (Electrical Trading & Services Business)

Position Title: Chief Executive Officer (CEO) / Chief Operating Officer (COO)

Location: Mumbai (with travel across India as required)

About the Role:

For a well-established 12 crore turnover electrical trading and services business with strong distributor partnerships (Jointing Kits ) and capabilities in transformer installation and O&M services.

We are looking for a dynamic CEO/COO to lead, integrate, and scale this business. The role will involve taking full operational responsibility, strengthening customer relationships, improving profitability, and building a high-performance organization.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Business Leadership & Strategy

• Lead the acquired business as an independent profit center.
• Develop and execute a growth strategy
• Identify new opportunities in electrical trading, services, and EPC-related business.
• Expand product portfolio and cross-sell with Aakash existing customer base.

2. Operations & Execution

• Oversee day-to-day operations including sales, procurement, execution, and after-sales service.
• Ensure timely project execution in transformer installation and O&M contracts.
• Build and strengthen vendor and principal relationships.
• Implement robust processes, SOPs, and internal controls.

3. Financial & Commercial Management

• Own full P&L responsibility.
• Improve gross margins and overall profitability.
• Optimize working capital, receivables, and inventory.
• Ensure strict compliance with GST, TDS, and statutory requirements.

4. Customer Relationship Management

• Retain and grow existing key accounts.
• Develop new customers in industrial, utility, and EPC segments.
• Act as the senior escalation point for customer issues.
• Strengthen credibility with principals and channel partners.

5. Team Building & Leadership

• Build a capable second-line management team.
• Hire, train, and mentor sales and operations staff.
• Create a performance-driven culture linked to KPIs and results.

Qualifications & Experience Required

Must Have:

• 12–18 years of experience in electrical products, industrial trading, or EPC services.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a P&L leadership role.
• Strong understanding of electrical products, switchgear, jointing kits, or related segments.
• Proven track record of handling distributors and OEM principals.

Preferred:

• Experience with 3M products, Ritter switches, or transformer-related services.
• Background in industrial projects, utilities, or infrastructure sectors.
