Responsibilities

• Assist cardiologists during cardiac catheterization, coronary angiography, PCI and related procedures.
• Prepare cath lab, instruments, equipment and consumables before procedures.
• Operate and monitor imaging systems, ECG monitors and hemodynamic monitoring equipment.
• Prepare patients, assist with positioning, monitoring and procedural needs.
• Maintain aseptic techniques and infection control.
• Monitor vital signs and report abnormalities.
• Manage and store catheters, guidewires, contrast materials and supplies.
• Follow radiation safety protocols during fluoroscopy and X-ray use.
• Maintain procedure records and equipment logs.
• Coordinate with cardiologists and nurses for smooth procedures.
• Follow hospital policies and emergency protocols.

Job description

We are looking for a skilled and responsible Cath Lab Technician to assist cardiologists during cardiac diagnostic and interventional procedures. The candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining cath lab equipment, preparing patients, ensuring safety protocols, and supporting the medical team during procedures.

Key Responsibilities

1. Assist cardiologists during cardiac catheterization, coronary angiography, angioplasty (PCI), and other cardiac procedures.
2. Prepare the catheterization laboratory, instruments, equipment, and consumables before procedures.
3. Operate and monitor cath lab equipment, including imaging systems, ECG monitors, and hemodynamic monitoring systems.
4. Prepare patients for procedures and assist with positioning, monitoring, and procedural requirements.
5. Maintain aseptic techniques and follow infection control protocols.
6. Monitor vital signs and report any abnormalities to the concerned doctor immediately.
7. Ensure proper handling, storage, and availability of catheters, guidewires, contrast materials, and other medical supplies.
8. Follow radiation safety protocols while working with fluoroscopy and X-ray equipment.
9. Maintain procedure records, equipment logs, and patient-related documentation.
10. Ensure regular checking, cleaning, and maintenance of cath lab equipment.
11. Coordinate with cardiologists, cath lab nurses, and other healthcare staff for smooth functioning of procedures.
12. Follow hospital policies, patient safety guidelines, and emergency protocols.

• Ability to work in shifts and handle emergency cases as required.
