Job summary

Urban Company in India is seeking a Category Manager - Business to scale category volumes and revenues across geographies while delivering superior customer and partner experience.

You will lead a cross-functional team, own growth tracks for the category, and drive sustainable expansion with UC values. This role requires 2–4 years in ops/consulting/strategy and a proven ability to lead under tight timelines.

• In addition to maintaining operational excellence for your set of cities on a daily basis, you will also be expected to take charge of key central growth tracks for the category over time:

• Collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure swift and robust execution.

About the Role & Team

Urban Companys India business is divided into three large verticals with several core categories within these verticals. Each category has an independent user offering and supply pool and is led by a business head.

Beauty vertical

• Salon for women: Skin-care services
• Salon for women: Hair, nails and make-up
• Mens grooming
• Spa therapy for men and women
• Treatments

Home vertical

• AC and appliance repair
• Cleaning and Pest control
• Electricians, Plumbers and Carpenters

Products business (Largely B2B sales)

What Youll Do:

The most common question asked is, 'what does a typical day in the life of an SCM look like?'

• Scale the category volumes and revenues across your geographies, while ensuring superlative customer and partner experience at scale.
