Job summary

Whirlpool India Limited is seeking a Category Manager to own the Category P&L and drive sales through advertising, promotions and branding activities.

You will estimate market size, track trends, monitor pricing, and work with design, procurement and supply chain to maintain and grow the product portfolio. Responsibilities include New Product Development, launches and project management, as well as stakeholder collaboration with Sales Heads and regional managers.

• Collaborate with Sales Channel Heads and Regional Sales Managers to identify portfolio gaps and execute tactical interventions

Job description

• Responsible for delivery of Category P&L
• Accountable for driving category sales and support sales channels through execution of advertising, promotion and branding activities
• Responsible for market size estimation, identifying market trends and shifts in consumer preferences and pricing decisions pertaining to the category
• Responsible for tracking and mitigating competition actions
• Responsible for driving various planning cycles (eg, long range plan, profit plan, operating plan) for product categories.
• Responsible for supporting product design process, mining of consumer relevant innovation and maintaining the health of product portfolio
• Responsible for New Product Development, Launch and Project Management
