Job summary

Mahindra And Mahindra Limited seeks a capacity planning professional to strengthen Automotive Division supply chains through long-term capacity mapping and short-term mitigation. You will coordinate with PD, SSU, CDMM, SCM, SQE and suppliers to map capacity, create SOPs, and hand over readiness for new and existing projects.

The role requires 6–10 years of relevant experience, engineering background in mechanical/production fields, and strong analytical and negotiation abilities to optimize

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Technology or BE in Mechanical/Production Engineering.
• MBA preferred.
• General experience: 6 to 10 years.
• Knowledge of APQP, M&M requirements, MPDS process.

Responsibilities

• Capacity assessment and planning for existing supply chain parts for a 3-year horizon.
• Identify and evaluate vulnerable supplier alternatives with SSU/SCM/SQE.
• Develop and execute capacity mapping for new projects across platforms cross-commodities.
• Drive short-term capacity planning and mitigate supply chain challenges: identify short-term bottlenecks, capacity enhancements, alternate sourcing.

Capacity Planning _ Engine & ePT Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

Build a resilient supply chain for the Automotive Division through Long term Capacity planning and mapping:

• a . Capacity assessment & planning for existing supply chain parts based on 3 years LTP -Action Planning for Capacity Shortfall mitigation for ongoing & new projects - Enabling capacity creation at supplier end to meet the requirements through partnering with PD, SSU, CDMM, SCM, SQE & suppliers -Ensure kick-off part development with close monitoring till Capacity creation, SOP & Handover
• b . SSU / SCM / SQE vulnerable supplier alternatives
• c . New projects C/O parts capacity mapping (across Platforms cross commodities)
• d. Development & Execution for Engine BTP & Proprietary System. Drive Short term Capacity Planning & supply chain challenges mitigation : a. Identification of short-term challenges with Supply chain b. Capacity enhancement on current parts c. Quality related supplies issues (alternate sourcing / FTG corrections with current suppliers) d. Ensure kick-off part development with close monitoring till SOP

Supply chain management understanding & exposure Exposure & knowledge of manufacturing processes, machines, utilities, material - Engine proprietary, Plastic, Casting, Forging & machining parts especially. Commercial acumen, Capacity assessment techniques Problem solving techniques. Root cause analysis Product development through APQP, M&M requirements, MPDS process.
