Job summary

Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. is seeking a Project Manager (Capacity planning) to lead long-term capacity planning, balance lines, and drive productivity improvements across manufacturing operations.

The role requires a B.Tech in Mechanical/ Manufacturing and 5–12 years of experience in capacity or production planning. You will coordinate with Manufacturing, SCM, Finance, and Vendor Development to ensure capacity readiness and informed CapEx decisions.

Qualifications

• B.Tech in Mechanical/ Manufacturing / Production is required.
• 5–12 years of experience in capacity planning, production planning, or related roles.
• Strong proficiency in MS Excel (advanced) and data tools; knowledge of Power BI/SAP is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct long-term production capacity planning aligned with business growth and new model introductions.
• Analyze plant capacity, line balancing, and utilization trends to identify bottlenecks and improvements.
• Prepare capacity expansion plans including manpower, machinery, and infrastructure requirements.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams for capacity readiness (Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Vendor Development, Finance).
• Support new model planning through feasibility studies, volume projections, and line loading scenarios.
• Develop and maintain capacity planning models, dashboards, and forecasting tools.
• Drive productivity improvements and optimize existing resources.
• Monitor capacity vs demand and provide inputs for CapEx investment planning.
• Prepare management reports and decision-support analyses.

Required Experience: 5 – 12 Years

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct long-term production capacity planning aligned with business growth projections and new model introductions.
• Analyze plant capacity, line balancing, and utilization trends to identify bottlenecks and improvement opportunities.
• Prepare capacity expansion plans including manpower, machinery, and infrastructure requirements.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Vendor Development, Finance) for capacity readiness.
• Support new model planning through feasibility studies, volume projections, and line loading scenarios.
• Develop and maintain capacity planning models, dashboards, and forecasting tools.
• Drive productivity improvement initiatives and optimize existing resources.

Technical Skills
