Job summary

Mahindra And Mahindra Ltd. seeks a capacity planning specialist for Electrical & Electronics to build a resilient automotive supply chain.

You will map long-term capacity and plan for existing parts, targeting 3-year horizons and coordinating with PD, SSU, CDMM, SCM, and SQE to meet future demand. The role requires 6–10 years of experience in automotive E&E capacity planning, with exposure to injection moulding, SMT, and software development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Technology or Bachelor of Engineering in mechanical or electrical streams.
• 6–10 years of experience in capacity planning for automotive E&E.
• Knowledge of automotive E&E products such as lamps, switches, sensors, wiring harness, infotainment, controllers, ECUs, audio system, ADAS.
• Exposure to processes like injection moulding, SMT, assembly of E&E parts, software development.
• Experience enabling capacity creation at supplier end through cross-functional coordination.

Responsibilities

• Build a resilient supply chain for the Automotive Division through long-term capacity planning and mapping.
• Conduct capacity assessment and planning for existing supply chain parts based on 3-year LTP.
• Plan action for capacity shortfalls for ongoing and new projects.
• Identify short-term challenges and drive capacity enhancement on current parts.
• Mitigate quality-related supply issues with alternate sourcing or corrective actions.
• Ensure kick-off part development with close monitoring till SOP and handover.

a. Capacity assessment & planning for existing supply chain parts based on 3 years LTP

-Action Planning for Capacity Shortfall mitigation for ongoing & new projects

- Knowledge of automotive Electrical & Electronics products such as lamps, switches, sensors, wiring harness, infotainment, controllers, ECUs, audio system, ADAS etc.

-Exposure on several processes such as injection moulding, SMT, assembly of E&E parts, software development etc.

-Enabling capacity creation at supplier end to meet the requirements through partnering with PD, SSU, CDMM, SCM, SQE & suppliers

-Ensure kick-off part development with close monitoring till Capacity creation, SOP & Handover

c. New projects C/O parts capacity mapping (across Platforms cross commodities)

Drive Short term Capacity Planning & supply chain challenges mitigation:

a. Identification of short-term challenges with Supply chain

b. Capacity enhancement on current parts

c. Quality related supplies issues (alternate sourcing / FTG corrections with current suppliers)

d. Ensure kick-off part development with close monitoring till SOP

Commercial acumen,
