Job summary

Mahindra And Mahindra Ltd. is seeking a seasoned engineer to lead capacity planning and supply chain optimization within the Automotive Division.

You will drive long-term capacity planning, map supplier capabilities, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to secure parts for multiple platforms. Ideal candidates have 6–10 years in manufacturing supply chains, strong analytical thinking, and solid project planning experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Technology or BE in Mechanical/Production Engineering is required.
• MBA is preferred for strategic procurement and project leadership.
• 6–10 years in manufacturing supply chain with capacity planning exposure.

Responsibilities

• Lead long-term capacity planning for automotive supply chain across platforms.
• Identify short-term challenges and drive capacity enhancements.
• Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to map capacity for new projects.
• Support APQP and MPDS related processes in product development.

Job description

Build a resilient supply chain for the Automotive Division through Long term Capacity planning and mapping:

• a. Capacity assessment & planning for existing supply chain parts based on 3 years LTP
• Action Planning for Capacity Shortfall mitigation for ongoing & new projects
• Enabling capacity creation at supplier end to meet the requirements through partnering with PD, SSU, CDMM, SCM, SQE & suppliers
• Ensure kick-off part development with close monitoring till Capacity creation, SOP & Handover
• c. New projects C/O parts capacity mapping (across Platforms cross commodities)
• d. Development & Execution for Engine BTP & Proprietary System.

Drive Short term Capacity Planning & supply chain challenges mitigation

• a. Identification of short-term challenges with Supply chain
• b. Capacity enhancement on current parts
• c. Quality related supplies issues (alternate sourcing / FTG corrections with current suppliers)
• d. Ensure kick-off part development with close monitoring till SOP

• Exposure & knowledge of manufacturing processes, machines, utilities, material - Engine proprietary, Plastic, Casting, Forging & machining parts especially.
• Commercial acumen,
• Capacity assessment techniques
• Problem solving techniques.
• Root cause analysis
• Product development through APQP, M&M requirements, MPDS process.
