Job Title: Vice Principal / Head of School

Reports To: Principal / Board of Management / CEO/ Chairman Person

Location: On-site

Job Summary

The Vice Principal / Head serves as a key administrative leader, supporting the Principal in managing daily school operations, academic execution, staff leadership, and student welfare. This role is responsible for maintaining high academic standards, enforcing student discipline, leading curriculum development, and stepping in as acting head in the absence of the Principal.

Key Responsibilities
1. Academic Leadership & Quality Assurance
  • Supervise classroom teaching, lesson planning, and curriculum delivery to ensure educational quality.
  • Oversee student assessment frameworks, periodic examinations, and report card generation.
  • Monitor student academic progress, identify learning gaps, and organize remedial programs for slow achievers.
  • Lead faculty development, conducting performance appraisals, workshops, and classroom observations.
2. Operations & Administration
  • Oversee day-to-day administrative activities, entry/dispersal procedures, and campus safety.
  • Prepare and manage master class timetables, teacher substitution schedules, and leave records.
  • Supervise campus infrastructure, health and safety standards, and inventory/stock registers.
  • Deputize for the Principal during their absence or when designated.
3. Student Welfare & Discipline
  • Enforce school regulations, code of conduct, and attendance guidelines.
  • Address discipline issues, behavioral concerns, and student conflict resolution.
  • Coordinate student support systems, counseling services, and co‑curricular programs (sports, clubs, assemblies).
4. Stakeholder & Community Engagement
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for parent queries, grievance redressal, and parent‑teacher meetings (PTMs).
  • Collaborate with educational boards, external inspectors, and regulatory bodies as required.
  • Lead assemblies, school events, and cultural functions.
Required Qualifications & Experience
