Job summary

Intelizign Lifecycle Services is hiring a CAE Simulation Engineer for Multi-Body Dynamics in Chennai. You will perform FEA/NVH analyses on components and sub-assemblies, using multiple tools to evaluate stresses, deflections and frequencies.

You will link MBD results with structural FE models and drive fatigue life calculations. 2–6 years of experience and a Master's or Bachelor's in Mechanical/Automotive/Computational Mechanics or equivalent are required.

Qualifications

• 2–6 years of CAE experience with FEA and MBD.
• Strong background in NVH, durability and stress analysis.
• Experience using mainstream FEA packages (Abaqus/Nastran) and MBD tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform linear and nonlinear static/dynamic FEA for components and assemblies.
• Assess stress, deflection, contact pressures, FoS, and modal analyses.
• Extract dynamic and inertial loads from MBD to feed FE models and fatigue calcs.
• Build rigid and multi-body dynamic mechanism models.

Position: CAE Simulation Engineer Multi-Body Dynamics (MBD / Kinematics)

Work Experience: 2 to 6 Years

Education: Master's / Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Computational Mechanics, Aerospace, or equivalent.

Work Location: Chennai

Role & responsibilities

• Finite Element Analysis (FEA) Structural, Durability & NVH: Perform linear and non-linear static/dynamic FEA for components and sub-assemblies under operational, test, and misuse load cases.
• Evaluate stress, strain, deflection, contact pressures, bolt preloads, plastic deformation, and factor of safety (FoS). Conduct modal analysis (natural frequencies, mode shapes) and vibration/frequency response analysis (NVH).
• FEACo-Simulation & Load Cascading: Extract dynamic, transient, and inertial joint reaction loads from MBD simulations to serve as accurate boundary conditions for component-level FEA and fatigue life calculations. Establish seamless data pipelines between dynamic kinematic models and structural finite element meshes.
• Multi-Body Dynamics (MBD) & Kinematics Simulation: Build full rigid and multi-body kinematic/dynamic mechanism models
• Software: Pre/Post: SimSolid (Preferred), Altair HyperMesh/HyperView, ANSYS Workbench, ANSA/META. Solvers (FEA): Abaqus (Standard/Explicit), Nastran
• MBD Tools: MSC Adams (Adams/Car, Adams/View)
