Role
CAE Simulation Engineer – Battery Module (NVH & Durability Focus)
We are seeking a CAE Simulation Engineer with strong analytical expertise in NVH and Durability simulations for battery modules and packs. The role involves developing simulation methodologies, interpreting results, identifying design risks, and providing engineering recommendations to improve product performance and robustness.
What should you bring along
- Perform NVH and durability analyses of battery modules, packs, and supporting structures.
- Execute and evaluate Nastran simulations including:
- Modal Analysis
- Frequency Response Analysis (FRF)
- Static Analysis
- Dynamic Response Analysis
- Correlate simulation results with test data and support model updates.
- Identify vibration-sensitive regions and durability-critical areas in battery structures.
- Analyze load paths, stress distributions, fatigue risks, and structural performance.
- Work closely with design and testing teams to propose design improvements.
- Lead investigations related to NVH and durability issues and communicate findings to stakeholders.
- Develop and improve simulation workflows, methodologies, and best practices.
- Mentor junior engineers on simulation setup and result interpretation.
Must have technical skill
- Strong understanding of structural dynamics, vibration, and durability principles.
- Hands-on experience with Nastran for modal, FRF, and static simulations.
- Ability to interpret simulation results and provide engineering recommendations.
- Experience in model debugging and simulation correlation.
- Understanding of battery system architecture and mechanical integration.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good to have Technical skills
- Experience with durability tools such as Femfat or Abaqus.
- Knowledge of fatigue assessment methodologies.
- Python or ANSA scripting for automation.
- Morphing and optimization techniques.
- Experience with EV battery products and validation activities.
- Exposure to SPDM tools and simulation process management.
