Internal: work closely with Battery chief engineer/DREs and Global CAE tech leads.
Act in the support and technical direction to obtain optimized engineering solutions through the execution of numerical simulations and the application of knowledge and experience, with regard to structural integrity.
Qualifications/Skills and Experience: Bachelors / Masters in Engineering (Mechanical/Automotive) and >4 years experience working for Auto OEMs/Suppliers (preferably on Electric vehicles).
Essential Skills: Thorough knowledge of the English language including both written and oral communication; general knowledge of vehicle propulsion systems including internal combustion engines, transmissions, axles, drivelines, batteries, and eMotors; deep knowledge of finite element methods (linear and nonlinear), strength of materials, solid mechanics, dynamics, and vibrations; low cycle, high cycle fatigue, thermomechanical fatigue; deep knowledge of Hyperworks (Ansa, Hypermesh, Hyperview, Optistruct or Nastran) and Abaqus for nonlinear static analysis and dynamic (modal, FRF, PSD), Femfat for fatigue; general knowledge of CAD and CAE packages including Hyperworks, Abaqus, Optistruct, FEMFAT, Ncode, MATLAB, NX, Teamcenter, and Solidworks; thorough knowledge of Microsoft or Google office products.
