Job Description
FE Simulation Engineer - Battery Module (Modelling Focus)
We are looking for an FE Simulation Engineer with strong hands‑on CAE modelling expertise to support battery module and pack development. The ideal candidate should have solid experience in FE model build‑up, meshing, assembly, and Nastran model preparation for structural and vibration analyses.
What should you bring along
- Handle CAD data preparation, clean‑up, and geometry simplification for FE modelling.
- Develop high‑quality FE models of battery components including cells, modules, enclosures, brackets, busbars, foams, and structural parts.
- Perform shell and solid meshing using ANSA, including tetra and hexa mesh generation.
- Assemble complete FE models and apply connections, materials, properties, and boundary conditions.
- Prepare and debug Nastran models for modal, static, and frequency response analyses.
- Support NVH and durability simulation teams through creation and maintenance of robust FE models.
- Perform model quality checks and ensure compliance with modelling guidelines.
- Contribute to process improvements and automation initiatives to improve modelling efficiency.
Must have technical skill
- Strong hands‑on experience in ANSA meshing.
- Solid Hexa and Tetra meshing
- Plastic component shell meshing
- Mid‑surface extraction and mesh quality improvement
- CAD handling and FE model preparation.
- Model assembly, connections, and boundary condition setup.
- Experience with Nastran model setup and debugging.
- Basic understanding of structural and vibration simulations.
- Experience with post‑processing tools such as Meta and Animator.
Good to have Technical skills
- Python or ANSA scripting.
- Morphing techniques in ANSA.
- Knowledge of CAD tools such as CATIA or SolidWorks.
