Job summary

BENTELER Group is seeking an experienced mechanical designer to develop and detail automotive components using CATIA V5 and NX. You will prepare precise drawings, manage BOM data in SAP/PLM, and maintain ECRs within a structured document system.

The role requires a BE/ME in Mechanical or Automobile, 3–5 years of automotive experience, and good communication skills. German language knowledge is advantageous for cross‑functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Must have a good understanding of design and engineering fundamentals.
• Able to provide engineering design solutions meeting defined requirements.
• Knowledge of CATIA V5 or NX.
• Basic 2D/3D modelling and drafting knowledge.
• Basic SAP/PLM knowledge advantageous.

Job description

Responsibilities:

• Concept development, modelling, drafting, and detailing of the automotive components in CATIA V5 / NX.
• Preparing the drawings according to the internal and external requirements.
• Create initial database structure in SAP / PLM for complex drawings and supporting documents (BOM).
• Maintaining Engineering Change Records (ECRs), including 3D and 2D record management.

Requirements:

• Good understanding of design and engineering fundamentals.
• Able to provide Engineering design solutions for analysis targets by meeting the defined requirements.
• Knowledge of CATIA V5 or NX.
• Basic knowledge of 2D and 3D Modelling / Drafting.
• Basic SAP / PLM knowledge will be an advantage.
• Good communication, self-learning, and problem-solving attitude.
• Knowledge of the German language will be an advantage.
• Graduate with BE / ME Mechanical / Automobile.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in the automotive industry.
