VAHLE invites a skilled Mechanical Draft Engineer or Mechanical Designer with CATIA expertise to join our Chennai-based engineering team. You will create accurate 2D drawings and 3D models, interpret designs, and support product development across global projects.

Fluency in English and Hindi is required for collaboration with our German engineering colleagues and cross-functional teams. The role emphasizes precision, teamwork, and adherence to international engineering standards.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Proficiency in CATIA (2D Drafting & 3D Modeling) is mandatory.
• Good knowledge of mechanical engineering drawings, GD&T, and manufacturing processes.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-detail skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Hindi (both spoken and written) are compulsory.
• Ability to communicate effectively with international engineering teams and work in a multicultural environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed manufacturing, fabrication, and assembly drawings.

• Work closely with VAHLE Germany Engineering for design reviews, approvals, and implementation of engineering standards.
• Ensure all drawings comply with VAHLEs global engineering standards, company procedures, and industry best practices.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Production, Quality, and Sales teams during project execution.
• Maintain engineering documentation, drawing revisions, and version control.
• Support product development and continuous improvement initiatives.

The ideal candidate should be proficient in creating accurate 2D drawings and 3D models, interpreting engineering designs, and supporting product development activities.

This role involves close collaboration with our engineering team in Germany to ensure all designs meet VAHLEs global engineering standards, quality requirements, and approval processes.
