Job summary

Siemens Energy India Limited is seeking a Supplier Quality Assurance Professional to implement production quality standards across forging, casting, pipes and fittings. You will inspect materials, prepare ITPs/MIPs, review supplier records and drive NCR/8D, RCA, and CAPA for prevention.

Collaboration with shop teams and third-party inspectors is essential. The ideal candidate has a mechanical engineering degree, 8+ years of material inspection, ASNT Level II, internal auditor certifications, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 8+ years in inspection of raw materials (forging, casting) and pipes & fittings.
• Internal auditor certification.
• Quality/Lean Six Sigma certification is a plus.
• Knowledge of DIN, EN, ISO and ASME codes for materials.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• ASNT Level II in DP, UT, MPT and RT.
• Hands-on with SAP MM/QM and MS Office.
• Basic EHS awareness.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Inspect forging, piping and fittings; knowledge of casting inspection is a plus.
• Prepare and approve ITPs and MIPs for forging, casting and piping.
• Review supplier quality records for forging, casting and piping.
• Manage inspection calls using digital tools.
• Lead NCRs and drive RCA/8D to prevent recurrence.
• Log non-conformances and ensure closure within manufacturing timelines.
• Execute CAPA for site and supplier errors.
• Coordinate with third-party inspection agencies at supplier end.
• Support lean initiatives for in-process quality.
• Develop and qualify new suppliers for forging, casting, and piping.
• Participate in product witness at supplier and Siemens premises.
• Implement relevant codes and standards at in-house and supplier ends.
• Monitor supplier performance and conduct supplier audits.

How You'll Make an Impact (Supplier Quality Assurance Professional, TI-STG, India)

• Inspection of different grades of forging, pipes and fittings. Knowledge of casting inspection would be an added advantage.
• Well conversant with manufacturing process of forgings, pipes and fittings.
• Preparation and approval of ITPs, MIPs for forging ,casting, & pipes and fittings
• Review of supplier quality records for forging ,casting, & pipes and fittings
• Inspection call management and planning by using digital tools.
• NCR Management and drive RCA/8D to prevent re-occurrence.
• Log non- conformance where deviations are identified and ensure proper closure of non-conformance within manufacturing closure
• Run Corrective and Preventive Action for site complaints, in house errors, and errors done by supplier.
• Planning and Co-ordination with third party inspection agency for inspection at supplier end.
• Be a part of lean initiative for in process quality to ensure quality and productivity.
• New supplier development and Qualification for forging ,casting, & pipes and fittings
• Handle customer during product witness at supplier end as well in Siemens premises.
• Maintain a healthy working environment while working with shop team.
• Implementation of relevant codes, standards and specifications at in-house and supplier end.
• Monitoring of Supplier performance
• Planning and execution of regular supplier audits

What You Bring

• Bachelors in engineering/ technology with specialization in Mechanical
• The incumbent must have min 08 + years of experience in inspection of Raw material (Priliminary Forging, Casting would be an added advantage),Pipes and Fittings.
• Certification in Internal auditor
• Additional certification in quality lean, six sigma would be added advantage
• Must have knowledge of DIN, EN, ISO and ASME codes for Raw Material, Pipes and Fittings
• Must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Must be ASNT Level II in DP, UT, MPT and RT.
• Must have hand on experience with all 04 Non destructive techniques.
• Must have a quality mindset to analyze problem technically and provide optimum solution.
• Must have Good application knowledge of quality tools e.g. 8D, A3, 5 why, CAPA.
• Must have understanding of ISO standard and must be certified internal auditor for ISO 9001:2015.
• Having a matured mindset in dealing with cross functional team and change mindset.
• Must be excellent in communication skills.
• Basic know how about EHS is a must.
• Proficient usage of MS Office applications as well as SAP Materials Management and Quality Management
