Job summary

Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. in Haryana invites a tooling and cost management professional to drive zero-based costing, supplier negotiations and the development of sheet metal dies and plastic moulds. You will evaluate tool rooms and coordinate with QA, engineering and finance to curb costs.

Reading drawings, understanding tooling processes, and using CAE tools such as AutoForm, Pam Stamp and Mold Flow will be essential. Strong communication and negotiation skills are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in tooling cost management and supplier negotiations.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and understand tooling processes.
• Strong cost reduction and supplier coordination capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Zero Based Costing , Negotiation, Sourcing & Development of Sheet Metal Dies /Plastic Mould.
• Evaluation of Tool Rooms
• Cost Reduction through Tool Localization , Yield Improvement etc
• Technically evaluate Tool condition / Tool Life
• Coordinate with different agencies like QA / Engineering / Finance / Tool Room
• To consolidate Tier 2's of Tooling supplier (Casting supplier, Tool Steel supplier, HRS supplier , Standard Part supplier)
• Ability to understand technical requirements of various sheet metaltools Should be able to read drawings, understand various Tool manufacturing processes.
• Able to handle CAE /forming software such as Autoform , Pam stamp, Mould Flow..etc.
• Ability to effectively communicate specific requirements with suppliers and monitor the overall development process.
• Should have good negotiating skills, ability to analyse commercial information and propose strategies
