Spur is an agentic CRM for businesses that sell to consumers over chat. It handles WhatsApp, Instagram, and other channels in one inbox, with AI handling most interactions. We are 12 people and are scaling to 6,000 brands.
This founding role focuses on outbound prospecting: researching brands, finding the right buyers, initiating calls and messages, and getting them into demos. You’ll build sequences and automation to keep the pipeline moving.
Spur (https://spur.so) is an agentic CRM for businesses that sell to consumers over chat. 600+ businesses across 50+ countries run on Spur, around 5 million conversations a month: ecommerce brands first, and increasingly anyone whose customers message them on WhatsApp and Instagram, from real estate and travel to education, clinics and services. Every WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, email and live chat message lands in one inbox with AI handling most of it, and the same platform runs their campaigns, lead follow-up, abandoned cart recovery and website conversion.
We're bootstrapped and profitable. Zero external funding, zero marketing spend. Every customer we have today came from product quality, word of mouth, referrals and partnerships. We're 12 people: 2 founders, 3 engineers, 5 in customer success, 1 founding marketer, 1 sales lead.
Now we scale, aggressively. The next number is 6,000 brands, and the four roles we are hiring right now are how we get there. This is the best time to join Spur.
We have never had a BDR. More than 60% of the demos our sales lead takes end in a close, so everything after the demo is sorted. The gap is everything before it, and that's this seat.
You'll own the outbound list: the brands and businesses we want on Spur, none of whom have heard of us yet. Most will be ecommerce, plenty will not be, and working out which is worth a call is part of the job. You research them, find the person who can say yes, call them, message them, follow up, and get them into a demo. You'll build the sequences and the automations that keep the list moving when you're not at your desk.
This is a founding role in the real sense. There is no playbook to inherit, no manager above you running the process, and nobody to blame for a bad list. You write the playbook, and the first version of it will be wrong, which is fine as long as the second one is better.
We read every response, and you'll hear back either way.
