Job summary

Kepl EPC Infra in Chennai is seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager to drive growth in MEP, EPC, Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing and related infra works. You will build a robust client network, convert leads into orders and ensure a steady flow of LOIs, work orders and POs.

The role demands a proactive seller with strong relationship skills and the ability to coordinate across sales, tendering and execution teams to deliver profitable projects.

• Identify and develop new business opportunities in MEP, EPC, Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing, HVAC and related infrastructure works.
• Identify prospective clients, consultants, architects, contractors, developers and industrial customers.
• Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective projects.
• Generate enquiries through direct meetings, references, networking, market research and industry contacts.
• Regularly monitor upcoming projects and identify opportunities at the tender/pre-tender stage.
• Maintain proper records of all leads, enquiries and business opportunities in the designated system.

• The BDM is primarily accountable for generating business opportunities, converting them into profitable orders, achieving the assigned order-booking target, developing client relationships and ensuring a smooth transition of secured projects to the execution team.

Major Roles & Responsibilities

1. Business Development & Lead Generation

• Identify and develop new business opportunities in MEP, EPC, Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing, HVAC and related infrastructure works.
• Identify prospective clients, consultants, architects, contractors, developers and industrial customers.
• Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective projects.
• Generate enquiries through direct meetings, references, networking, market research and industry contacts.
• Regularly monitor upcoming projects and identify opportunities at the tender/pre-tender stage.
• Maintain proper records of all leads, enquiries and business opportunities in the company's designated system.

2. Sales & Order Booking

• Achieve the monthly, quarterly and annual sales/order-booking targets assigned by the Management.
• Convert qualified leads into enquiries, negotiations and confirmed orders.
• Follow up continuously with clients until receipt of LOI/Work Order/PO.
• Ensure adequate order pipeline is maintained to achieve future business targets.
• Prepare and submit regular sales forecasts and order-booking reports to Management.
• Ensure that all commercial commitments made to clients are within the approved company limits.
