Job summary

Fiinovation (Innovative Project Management Services) is seeking a confident Business Development professional for a desk-based role with Pan-India travel. The candidate will identify, approach and secure meetings with corporate clients, presenting Fiinovation’s services and portfolio.

Immediate joiners preferred, with a 15-day paid training before regular BD induction, and the position is based at our Okhla Phase III, New Delhi office.

Job description

We are looking for a confident and driven Business Development professional who is comfortable meeting corporate clients, starting conversations, presenting ideas and turning those conversations into business opportunities. Immediate Joiners will be preferred.

This is mainly a desk-only BD role.

But once in a while you will be expected to reach out to prospective corporate clients, secure meetings, visit their offices, understand their requirements and present Fiinovations portfolio and services. From the first conversation to follow-ups and eventual closure, you will be expected to take ownership of the opportunity.

Since you will regularly interact with corporate professionals and senior decision-makers, excellent spoken and written English is a must for this role.

What Youll Be Doing

• Identify and approach prospective corporate clients across India.
• Connect with relevant decision-makers through calls, emails, professional networks and direct outreach.
• Secure meetings with prospective clients and visit corporate offices to pitch Fiinovation’s services and portfolio.
• Understand what the client is looking for and identify where our services can fit their requirements.
• Generate genuine business enquiries, meetings and requisitions.
• Prepare for client meetings and deliver clear, confident and persuasive presentations.
• Coordinate internally for proposals and other documents required by prospective clients.
• Follow up consistently with prospects and move opportunities from the initial conversation towards closure.
• Handle the complete BD cycle — outreach, meeting, pitching, requirement generation, proposal, follow-up, negotiation and closure.
• Build and maintain professional relationships with corporate stakeholders and decision-makers.
• Maintain a clear record of your meetings, leads, follow-ups, opportunities and closures.
• Represent Fiinovation at client meetings, conferences, networking forums and other relevant industry events.
• Travel across India whenever client meetings or business opportunities require it.
• Maintain and update the Daily Tracker with progress made, key activities undertaken, follow-ups, and outcomes, and ensure timely reporting to the concerned reporting authority.

Communication Matters—a Lot

For this position, strong English communication is non‑negotiable.

You should be comfortable sitting across the table from senior corporate professionals and explaining who we are, what we do and why they should work with us.

We are looking for someone who can communicate naturally and confidently—not someone who simply memorizes a sales pitch.

You should be able to write professional emails, conduct business conversations, deliver presentations, handle questions and objections, and follow up with clients without requiring constant supervision.

Targets & Performance

This is a target‑oriented Business Development role.

You will work against quarterly targets, which will be clearly communicated at the time of joining.

Performance will be evaluated not only on activity but also on outcomes, including the quality of meetings generated, client requirements/requisitions received, pipeline development, follow‑ups, conversions and closures.

15‑Day Paid Training & Assessment

We don't expect you to understand our entire business from Day 1.

Every selected candidate will therefore undergo a 15‑day paid training programme before being inducted into the regular BD system.

During this period, you will be trained on:

• Fiinovation and its service portfolio
• The CSR and social‑development ecosystem
• Corporate outreach and prospecting
• Client pitching and presentations
• Understanding and generating client requirements
• Follow‑up and business‑conversion processes
• Professional communication and reporting

At the end of the 15-day training period, there will be an assessment to evaluate your understanding, communication, pitching ability and overall readiness for the role.

Candidates who successfully complete the training and assessment will subsequently be inducted into the regular Business Development system.

Who We’re Looking For

• Understand that good BD requires persistent and intelligent follow‑up.
• Can take ownership of a prospect instead of waiting to be told what to do at every stage.
• Are comfortable working with targets and being evaluated against results.
• Are willing to travel Pan‑India for meetings and business opportunities.
• Are comfortable working from our Okhla Phase III, New Delhi office.

Experience in CSR, sustainability, consulting, social development or professional services would be an advantage.
