Job summary

Ekam Eco Solutions Pvt. Ltd. in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, is seeking a Business Development Executive to drive growth in South India. Based in Ahmedabad, you will identify opportunities, reach out to potential customers, conduct meetings, and convert opportunities into orders while building lasting relationships.

You will develop markets in South India with initiative, ownership, and a proactive approach to open new applications and expand the customer base.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in business development, sales, marketing, or a related field.
• Qualification in B.Com, BBA, MBA, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable speaking with senior decision-makers and new customers.
• Good follow-up and negotiation skills.
• Willingness to travel extensively for business development.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned markets.
• Strong commercial understanding and a result-oriented approach.
• Curiosity to learn about products, markets, and customers.
• Proficiency in MS Office, Excel, and basic CRM/sales tools is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify and generate new leads through market research, databases, references, networking, and other channels.
• Reach out to prospective customers through calls, emails, LinkedIn, and other communication channels.
• Understand customer requirements and identify suitable business opportunities.
• Schedule and conduct meetings with customers, consultants, channel partners and other stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.
• Prepare and deliver product presentations, proposals, and commercial discussions.
• Follow up consistently with leads and convert opportunities into orders.
• Explore cross-selling and up-selling opportunities with existing customers.
• Develop and expand the company's customer base in South India.
• Coordinate with internal teams for quotations, technical discussions, product demonstrations, installations, and order execution.
• Track leads, opportunities, and sales activities and maintain an updated sales pipeline.
• Conduct market research to understand competitors, customer requirements and emerging opportunities.
• Take independent initiatives to open new markets, identify new applications and create business opportunities.
• Travel to customer locations, exhibitions, meetings, and other business opportunities as required.
• Contribute ideas and strategies for increasing revenue and expanding the company's presence.

About the Role
